It is difficult to define a “large gift”, because all donors are individuals with unique resources and commitments. So we recognize that a “small” sum of money may represent a very significant gift by one donor, whilst a “larger” sum may be a smaller commitment to another. It is for this reason that gifts of all sizes are a great encouragement to us, and we are grateful to all our supporters for whatever donations you choose to make to the Trust.
We recognize, however, that some gifts may be large enough to have a significant impact on the work we are able to do, and on how and when we do it. A large gift may help us to proceed with a particular project more quickly, or to expand its scope. It may let us develop new ideas or projects from scratch. Large gifts may even make a significant difference to our long term aim of developing a permanent Arthur Ransome Centre.
We can get plenty of rope with five shillings.
If you are interested in making a large gift to the Trust, we will be very happy to discuss your wishes with you. We would like to work together so that your gift can best help the Trust, whilst at the same time making your giving an enjoyable experience for you.
