It is difficult to define a “large gift”, because we know that a “small” sum may be very significant to one donor, whilst a “larger” sum may be proportionally smaller to another. It is for this reason that gifts of all sizes are a great encouragement to us, and we are grateful to all our supporters for whatever donations you choose to make to the Trust.

We recognize, however, that “large gifts” may have a significant impact on the Trust’s work, perhaps by letting us develop a project more quickly, or by expanding its scope. Large gifts can make a significant difference to our long term aim of developing a permanent Arthur Ransome Centre.
