Temporary Moorings
Temporary Moorings is a programme of occasional exhibitions, organised mainly in the Lake District. They are usually organised in partnership with host organisations whose interests overlap the Trust’s.
Where possible we aim to co-ordinate Temporary Moorings with our Camp Fires programme of public lectures and seminars.
What’s happening and how can I help?
- The Trust’s first Temporary Mooring, Imagination and Reality, the Art of Arthur Ransome, was held in 2011 in co-operation with the Brantwood Trust, at Brantwood. We held a second short exhibition at the Holker Hall Garden Festival in 2012. You can find information about current developments and future events in the News & Events section of the website.
- If you feel you’d like to help fund Snug Berths, see the Support section of the site.
- If you represent an organisation in the southern Lake District which you feel co-host a Temporary Mooring, then please get in touch.
“There’s a good place for a mooring,” said Starboard, pointing to a little bay.
