I do not like putting my own book in this list, but, unless I do, I should have to omit Aksakov.
This booklet is one of eight guides in the National Book League’s Reader’s Guides (Second Series).
Synopsis
Fishing is a bibliography of some 90 works; Ransome’s personal selection of the best fishing literature. Ransome’s own Rod and Line (1929) fully deserves inclusion on its own merits, not only the fact that it included Aksakov’s work.
