Swallows and Amazons E-books Will Soon be Back

.

We have been advised by Random House Children’s books that the twelve Swallows and Amazons series e-books will be back on sale in the next few days.

The series was originally released on 30 June, but subsequently withdrawn pending the correction of a number of minor errors.

Random House advise that the books should be available by this Friday, 28 October, but it may take a few more days before they are listed by online retailers.

The twelve Swallows and Amazons novels include Swallows and Amazons, Swallowdale, Winter Holiday, Pigeon Post and The Picts and the Martyrs (set in the Lake District), Coot Club and The Big Six (set on the Norfolk Broads), We Didn’t Mean to go to Sea and Secret Water (set on the East Coast and North Sea, around Harwich), Great Northern? (set in the Outer Hebrides) and two fantasy novels, Peter Duck and Missee Lee (set in the Caribbean and China). They were first published by Jonathan Cape between 1930 and 1947 and all twelve have been in print in hardback ever since. They are currently available from Random House in both hardback (Jonathan Cape) and paperback (Red Fox) editions.
